Obviously I had to post these. One reason is she’s the only celebrity in “that” category that I like, and two because she dropped half her body weight in what seems like months. That’s dedication. And drugs.

would it be healthier if she were a fat slob? makes me laugh when we say that big is beautiful but thin is anorexic. sounds like jealousy to me.

Lilo's photos are getting people talking, that's the whole point. Whether she's thin or fat, a lesbian or straight, on drugs or not - all PR is good PR.

No, I don't think we should be encouraging overweight people, but at the same time - should little girls look up to this??

little girls should not look up to LL. that is simply because she has no talent and not because she's thin.
should little girls not look up to aretha franklin because she is big? for fear of promoting fatness?
should little girls only look up to someone like sheryl crow, who could be considered avg?
what about all those people who are not avg? who do they have to look up to?
what is fat? what is thin? i'd give you a different answer then my friend would give you.
the whole concept of thin celebs promoting unhealthy attitudes in children is objective IMO.
good parents and an education are what matter most. give the drug addict celebs a break. she has nothing but her 'gossip' going for her anyway.
jaco pastorius is ugly but id love to be him because hes an amazing artist. the problem with LL and other talentless celebs is that, because they are talentless, we have no real reason to care about them, so we talk about their lives and their weight and their problems. if LL were the greatist musical artist of all time, i dont know if we would be talking about her weight. the fact that she sucks leaves us with no other reason to care about her other than her 'gossip'. the real danger, in my opinion, is when we inflate the significance of insignificant people in the first place.

id also like to add that the boys and girls who are anorexic or may becaome anorexic suffer from a mental disorder. i believe that they will find signs which encourage their mental disorder everywhere and in almost anyone. from LL to mother theresa (who was also very thin) to a pencil to a carrot stick. if your sick in the head it does not matter what you look at specifically because you will find examples which encourage your disorder everywhere. IMO
